Programs like this cannot happen without volunteers, many hours are given by various people to prepare for the year and ensure the year runs smoothly. Below are positions that we have, some of which are waiting for you to volunteer. The benefit of volunteering can eliminate your fundraising responsibility.

Position(s) needing to be filled:

Canskate Rep – received a ½ Fundraising Credit ($50)
– Attend parent orientation meeting at the beginning of the season
– Be a liaison between CanSkate parents and WSC executive
– Inform parents via letters/communication board/word of mouth, about events relating to CanSkate kids, i.e.…. Funmeet, Carnival, etc.
– Be available at the arena the nights that CanSkate run (this does not mean every night)
– Help the first night of CanSkate in partnership with CanSkate coach
– Handout badges & ribbons on assessing day, Coach will contact you about these days in advance.
– Prepare a detailed report for the annual meeting, i.e., badges given out, events, awards, etc.
– Be a team player on the Winkler Skating Club executive and help run the many programs of the Club.
